Pays up to 36 months of tuition, housing, and books for education and training after service.

Overview

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides education benefits for Veterans who served on active duty after September 10, 2001. It covers tuition and fees, a monthly housing allowance, and a stipend for books and supplies. Benefits can be transferred to dependents in some cases.

Eligibility

Served at least 90 aggregate days on active duty after September 10, 2001, or 30 continuous days and discharged for a service-connected disability. Discharge other than dishonorable.
