Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E, Chapter 31)
Helps service-disabled Veterans prepare for, find, and keep suitable jobs through training and support.
Overview
VR&E provides services such as job training, education, resume development, and coaching to Veterans with service-connected disabilities and an employment handicap. May also help with starting a business.
Eligibility
Veterans: a service-connected disability rating of at least 10% and a discharge other than dishonorable. Service members: a memorandum disability rating of 20% or higher, or already in the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES). VA then assesses your employment needs to build a plan.
